I have been making art in Portland Oregon for many years. When I moved to Portland I was a landscape painter with a BFA and MFA and 5 years in New York city, looking at art every chance I got. That passion for beauty has not dimmed. My paintings begin with a burst of joy and gratitude for something wondrous that I want to keep somehow, and share with everyone. I often bring nature inside now, to observe and combine with other decorative patterns that feel sentimental to me. In recent times I have especially needed beauty from the natural world around me for comfort and hopefulness. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this work with you.
